U8s end of season kids v adults match

A beautiful sunny Saturday morning was the backdrop for the U8s end of season kids v big kids (the adults!) extravaganza.

The morning started with a warm up from coach Ash, in which the adults were really put through their paces. This was followed by knockout dribbling and shooting games set up by the coaches. It was lovely to see the effort from the adults really getting stuck into the challenges.

After a drinks break, two games were played in great spirit. The adults gave it their all, showing they’ve still got it but the kids weren’t intimidated in the slightest, knocking the ball around the park showing off their silky skills.

Thorin’s grandad was a particular star, rolling back the years with an excellent display. The adults really had to up their game to keep up with this bunch of talented young players. After a lot of fun the games ended 3-3 and a 3-0 victory to the kids.

The morning was finished off with a penalty shoot out. The adults keeper Chris Brazier pulled off some superb saves, with his son doing the same for the kids but after all the kicks were taken the kids had won by one goal and absolutely got to take the bragging rights for this year.

The adults enjoyed their own small victory with no injuries reported!

A fantastic morning was enjoyed by everyone after a great first season for the U8s.

We’re looking forward to a short break now and we can’t wait to see what this team will do next season.
