Awards Night 2026

Thank you to everyone who came along last night to celebrate the achievements of our players over the past season.

There have been highs and lows, great wins and tough losses, and plenty in between, but most importantly our Colts have shown resilience, commitment and continuous improvement throughout the season. The aim is always progress over perfection, and good sportsmanship above winning - and we believe that thanks to our fantastic players, coaches and parents, we have achieved exactly that.

Congratulations to all of our award winners. It is never easy for the coaches to choose recipients when every player deserves recognition and celebration.

The most special award of the evening, however, was presented to Little Kickers legends Steve Allan and Jem Stone. Steve and Jem received a Lifetime Award in recognition of their incredible twenty years of service to the club.

After two decades, they have made the difficult decision to retire from the Colts and enjoy some well-earned Saturday morning lie-ins. As Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively, as well as team managers and later Little Kickers coaches, Steve and Jem have been true stalwarts of the club and have helped shape the values we continue to aspire to today.

It was an emotional evening, but a thoroughly deserved tribute to two absolute superstars whose legacy will live on at the Colts for many years to come.

We also had several other emotional goodbyes, including to our U14s team, which has sadly folded. Led by Jon Tivey and Andy Christie for the past seven years, joined later by Rob Suttling, several members of the squad have decided to pursue other exciting opportunities, meaning the team is unfortunately not large enough to continue into U15s. Huge thanks to all the coaches, parent helpers and players involved over the years, and we wish you all the very best for your future adventures.

We also said thank you and goodbye to U12s managers Sam Freeman and Dave Eastwood, and U10s manager Adil Gilani-Tolhurst, for all of their hard work and dedication to the club over several years.

And lastly, our U16s team received the Team of the Year award - congratulations Jay, Craig and team.
