Last weekend some of our U14s squad represented Sussex Schools in the Ateitis Cup 2023 tournament in Lithuania.
The Ateitis Cup is an annual international youth football tournament held in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The tournament is approved by the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) and is attended by more than 7,000 young footballers from over 22 countries every year.
The boys were playing up a year in an U15 squad and played against teams from Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Georgia. Just being selected and attending the tournament was a huge achievement in itself but the team actually went on to win the tournament!
Not only that, but we are really proud to say that one of our own - Max, U14 Chailey and Newick Colts - was the leading goal scorer in the whole competition. What a fantastic achievement!

3rd place Jurmalas Futbola Skola (Latvia)
We love hearing about the success of our players both at the club and outside the club, on and off the pitch. We are really proud of them all and this is another wonderful success story, as well as an amazing experience for the players involved 👏 Congratulations boys!
