Colts U11s Friendly-Fest

At the weekend we held our first ever mini tournament - an U11s development style tournament of friendly matches between neighbouring clubs. We’re very lucky to have like-minded clubs nearby who were all happy to play in the spirit intended. 

The day was all about bringing players together to play some friendly football and to give the opportunity to players who might miss out on a spot in some of the bigger, more competitive tournaments. We feel we achieved this as the atmosphere up at our Chailey ground was fantastic and all the players from every club who attended showed respect, fair play and great sportsmanship throughout the day.

It was made even better by the fact that it was a beautiful day - the sun was shining, the sky was blue and our army of volunteers came out in force to set up the Colts cafe, a BBQ and a Boba tea stall.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped on the day, to our referees and to our event sponsors, Octego Ltd.

Congratulations to Cuckfield Cosmos for winning the tournament overall. Well done to Burgess Hill Orange for winning our Fair Play award and well done to all the players from Haywards Heath FC, Burgess Hill and Cuckfield Cosmos who came along to take part, we hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did. We can’t wait for next year!
